  • Henry Price III  - (class of 1963)

Professor of Music, GRAMMY AWARD, Best Opera Recording (1978).   His singing career turned into an opera career.  He has been all over the world in many distinguished operas. He's now living in Malibu, CA with his wife of 43 years on the Pepperdine University campus and is a professor of music.

  • Leonora Corona

Operatic soprano, was born in Dallas on October 14, 1900. She attended Oak Cliff High School (W. H. Adamson) and lived at huge frame residence at 232 North Marsalis Avenue. Her family moved to Seattle while she was still a teenager.

  • Tom Chandler

Tom Chandler-head coach of baseball for Texas A&M University from 1959-1984
Coaching one shy of 1,000 games, Chandler was among the top 15 winningest coaches in the country and had 54 players sign professional baseball contracts.

  • Yvonne Craig - Batgirl from the 1960s TV series Batman

  • Samuel David Dealey - Navy submarine hero - Medal of Honor recipiant

  • E. King Gill - Texas A&M University's 12th man

  • Malcolm Harris (class of 1988) - noted comic book writer

  • Brenda Hayward (class of 1959) - elected first Miss Teenage America in 1958 (then Brenda Brodnax)

  • Michael Martin Murphey (class of 1963) - country-western music artist
 

  • Joe R. Pool - served in Texas State House of Representatives 1953–1958; U.S. Congress 1963–1968

  • B.W. Stevenson (class of 1967) - country pop music artist

  • Doyle Willis (class of 1926) - served on Texas Legislature

  • Lew Williams attended W. H. Adamson High School, graduating in 1951.  American and European Rockabilly performer and song writer.
